RETURNS POLICY

GUARANTEES AND RETURN POLICY

GUARANTEES:

While every effort is taken to ensure we deliver healthy, pest-free and happy plants – the nature of our business is such that we cannot guarantee the survival or condition of the plants after purchase.

If the plant arrives in an acceptable condition, all further care is the responsibility of the purchaser and no replacement is offered once the plant arrives alive.

In the case of variegated plants: future variegation cannot be guaranteed – in most instances, variegation is considered unstable and the onus is on the new owner to have researched this before purchase.

Plant dormancy: Some plants e.g., Alocasias, Caladiums, Colocasias etc. tend to go through significant stress when shipped, especially during colder months, and may turn dormant as a result. Arcadia Plants and Accessories will not be held responsible in this event as it forms part of the plant’s nature and the risk falls to the owner.

Considerable efforts are taken to accurately represent the size, quality and characteristics of all plants on our website. However, due to the nature of the products – it is possible the plant may have grown and changed, and the older leaves of the plant may have also experienced normal levels of natural deterioration. Because plants are living things that naturally display diversity, there may be some variation among available plants.

Please note: DO NOT re-pot your plant in the first 2-4 weeks of receiving it. Re-potting a plant within its first two weeks in its new environment causes even more stress on the plant which is already stressed from shipping.

Please reach out for care assistance at the first sign of plant health decline. We are available for care and troubleshooting assistance at any time, for products purchased through us. If you are experiencing issues with plant care, please contact us at hello@arcadiaplants.co.za. Where you can – provide a description of your plant’s symptoms, recent care given, and photos.

RETURNS:

We do not offer any returns or exchanges on undamaged items or healthy plants.

If a plant arrives dead or in very poor condition, please send a picture of the item within 24 hours of delivery to hello@arcadiaplants.co.za. We will consider the return/refund – if successful, we will replace the item, issue a store voucher or offer store credit to the value of the damaged product. Proof of purchase is required.

Please note: you will be responsible for paying an additional shipping fee for returns & exchanges. This will be the same as our standard shipping fee per province. We may also request the damaged plant to be returned, which will also be for your account.

Note: an item is considered ’delivered’ once it shows on the courier facility’s database as delivered. We do not take responsibility for the customer taking excessive time to collect the parcel or any delays due to wrong addresses provided or the client not being available for delivery.

While we take every care to ensure the thoughtful packaging of our products for shipping – no guarantee can be made on the condition of our products’ arrival when using shipping or courier services. And therefore, we cannot take responsibility for any broken, damaged or missing plants, pots or products after the product leaves our care, and as a result of shipping or courier services.
